We're here for you

Creating an enduring difference in your life and the lives of your loved ones.

Marsh Fidelity

is a deceased estate and fiduciary business based in Kwa-Zulu Natal. It is headed up by director, Daniel Marsh. Our business is built on four pillars: care, communication, trust and quality work.

We believe that clear and effective communication is the key to any relationship. In times and areas where our services are required, communication is essential, giving all those involved the security, support and comfort they deservedly need. We aim to make an enduring difference in the lives of our clients and their families through the work we provide; working with care and efficiency to provide the highest quality service to ensure that estates are run as effectively as possible. We will also use our expertise to reduce, where possible, the costs, taxes and time frame in which the estate is managed so that your beneficiaries will get the greatest possible inheritance upon finalisation of the estate.

Specialised solutions

Explore What We Are Doing Better

We believe in doing a few things, well. That is why we are a firm that only offers the services we specialise in and they are our full time priority and area of expertise.

Executors and Agents to Executors

We will use our expertise to reduce, where possible, the costs, taxes and time frame in which your estate is managed so that your beneficiaries will get the greatest possible inheritance in the shortest possible time upon finalisation of the estate. Working in this field full time also allows us to stay on the pulse with law amendments and additional requirements that the Master may need.

Estate planning and advice

When it comes to estate planning there are many different aspects that need to be taken into consideration. When drafting a will for example, we must answer important questions like, are you married? Do you have overseas assets? Do you have any children and are any of your children minors? Is your estate potentially liable to pay estate duty? We advise on all of the above mentioned examples and more, which will help you streamline your estate. We strive for efficiency and where possible cost savings when it comes to administering your estate, allowing you and your loved ones complete peace of mind.

Formation of Trusts and acting as Trustees and Advisors

We are able to assist in the formation of trusts through the Master’s Office and act as independent trustees for clients who have trusts or wish to set up a trust. We are also able to assist with the updating of trust documents as the trustees’ and beneficiaries’ needs and wants change.

Will Drafting

Protect your legacy with a valid and easy to understand will. We guarantee all legal requirements are met to ensure the best possible outcome for your loved ones and review all possible contingencies and circumstances so that the will provides for them.

WHO WE ARE

Marsh Fidelity developed as a result of my passion for people and wish to ensure that their legacy is protected. The work I do is incredibly personal and requires a great relationship with a foundation built on trust. So to give you some insight into who I am and a bit of background, I completed my degree at Rhodes University where I majored in economics and management. Since then, I have pursued qualifications in the Administration of Deceased Estates through UNISA and Administration of Estates through SAIT, which were both obtained with distinction. I discovered my fiduciary calling after completing my first deceased estate in 2019. I find joy in knowing that I have made an enduring difference in someone’s life during their darkest days. My economics background coupled with my love for people and serving my community is what led to the inception of Marsh Fidelity and the love for what I do has shaped my business over its lifetime.

Outside of my work, I enjoy marathon running, cultivating bonsai trees, going to Church, and spending time with loved ones. Family is a big part of my life and my wife, Hannah, has played a major role in making me the man I am today.

Dealing With Loss: How Childhood Trauma Led Daniel To Become A Fiduciary Specialist

Author: Daniel Marsh

When I was seven years old, I was in a tragic car crash. This crash impacted and directed my life in so many ways. Dealing with the loss I faced even played a large role in why I became a fiduciary specialist. My empathetic approach is founded on personal experience. You can rest assured, knowing that when I assist you in winding up an estate, I know and have felt your pain and want this experience to be as painless as possible for you.

I want to encourage anyone who has recently lost a loved one or is struggling academically to not lose hope. There is always a way, and there is always hope, even if it doesn’t seem that way. Surround yourself with good people, work hard, persist, and have faith.

Please know that you are here for a reason. You have a lot to offer the world that only you can give.

three steps to success

Effectively Plan and manage your estate

01

Have your estate needs assessed

In a personal one on one meeting, we will work with you and ask important questions to come to the right, tailor-made plan for your estate.

02

Draft and store a tailored, valid will

We value the opportunity to make a difference and being able to walk you through your Will planning, execution and storage is of high importance to us. We respect your wishes, privacy and the legacy you have worked so hard for.

03

Have qualified executors assist with your administration

In certain instances, the Master of the High Court may request that a qualified individual, who is well versed in the administration of deceased estates be appointed as your registered agent, over the Executor you appointed. Having Marsh Fidelity as your Executor or Co-Executor eliminates these kinds of requests and reduces the additional stress on your surviving spouse or family members whilst still grieving your loss.
